Hawaii Honeymoon

Kevin and I went to the island of Oahu, Hawaii for our honeymoon. It was just beautiful! Every where we looked we snapped a picture because we were in awe with the gorgeous scenery & aqua water! It was so relaxing to just lay by the ocean and have absolutely nothing else to do! Some of the highlights of our trip were...

Our awesome resort at Turtle Bay:

The beautiful sunsets:

Hiking Waimea Valley to see the waterfall:

Seeing Luke Wilson...although I chickened out asking for a picture with him:

Driving down the gorgeous East coast, stopping at Makapu'u Lookout:

Snorkeling at Hanauma Bay:

Ko Olina Oceans Adventures snorkeling cruise where we got to swim with the spinner dolphins:

Seeing Sea Turtles:

Walking the Waikiki Beach strip to the Hilton Hawaiian Resort, where my grandpa's ashes were sprinkled:

And touring Pearl Harbour!

It was the best vacation we had ever been on. We would love to go back!!

Our Wedding Day 6.9.12

June 9th, 2012 was (so far) the best day of our lives!!!

After 10 months of planning...all the stress and millions of decisions truly paid off. I would never do it again, but it was well worth it when we saw how perfect everything had turned out. I have to admit, that I really “saw” it the day after when we watched the videos, because I was on cloud9 all day!! Past bride friends had told me to pause throughout the day, breathe and take it all in, which I did a couple times, but with the adrenaline high, it was definitely hard to really focus. Many of my friends said how surprised they were with how relaxed of a bride I was…but honestly I think I was just so happy and overly stimulated, I was at a loss for many words :)

Our wedding day seemed to be the longest day ever, yet went by so fast. I know that doesn’t make sense, but the day was so jam packed with one thing from the next: getting ready, first sight pictures, wedding party pictures, family pictures, the ceremony, the receiving line, the party bus, the grand march, dinner, cake cutting, speeches, sunset pictures, first dances, and the mobile photo wall… I remember being exhausted before the ceremony even started at 4pm. And when dinner came, I was starving, but Kevin and I looked at each other and just couldn’t eat. Everyone explained how delicious the foods was, but our anxious excited nerves just stole our appetite.

Thank goodness for all the pictures our photographer took (1900!!) because as I went through them I kept saying, “Wow, that’s what our centerpieces/cupcake tier/escort card table/chair covers/pedals down the isle/memorial vase/etc. looked like!?” I was obviously around them the whole day but I never really stopped to notice, and it felt great to see how beautiful it all looked after all the decisions we had gone through!! The whole day was truly amazing and I wouldn’t have done a single thing different.
